If you're an occasional chainsaw user, the STIHL Chainsaw Personal Protective Equipment starter kit contains the basic PPE that you need when working with a chainsaw. It's an entry level kit that is ideal if you are using a chainsaw in your garden, for tasks such as processing firewood or pruning small trees.
The following items are included in the starter kit:
- Clear FUNCTION Slim safety glasses
- TIMBERSPORTS® Edition ear protectors
- One pair of large FUNCTION SensoTouch gloves - these are lightweight and breathable, and also allow you to operate a smartphone or tablet without removing them!
- Adjustable chainsaw chaps with front leg protection, 95 cm leg length, cut protection class: 1, design B. These are designed to be worn over your normal trousers.
As well as the above items, you should also wear chainsaw protective boots and a helmet if there is a risk of falling objects. These are not included in the starter kit. For full details of recommended PPE, please refer to the Instruction Manual for your chainsaw.
